inplainsight art uses a frit based overglaze enamel decal transfer process. The overglaze enamels are purified and finely ground inorganic fluxes and metals designed for laser printing.

This is a four color CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) 400 dpi printing process, printed directly on waterslide decal paper for transfer and fire to ceramics tile and glass.

The firing temperatures range is 1300-1650 F with no loss of color or resolution.

LONGEVITY.
Once fired our imagery becomes a permanent layer of glass completely fused to the substrate. inplainsight art warranty is 50 years against fading or loss of color. The studio uses high-fire, low absorption ceramic tile for exterior applications stable for freeze thaw conditions. Imagery fused to tempered safety glass meets all safety glass requirements.

CERAMIC TILE AND GLASS INSTALLATION AND CARE:

inplainsight art ceramic tile requires no special installation. Tile can be cleaned with any non-acid, non-abrasive cleanser. Solvents are not a problem.

Glass requires no special installation. Standard glazing practices are fine. Glass can be cleaned with standard window cleaner or any non-acid, non-abrasive cleanser.
