The intention here was to create a rather timeless piece, one that might interest the wide variety of individuals to respond with their own point of reference. |

| Strong horizontal bands of imagery are evident throughout the artwork. These insets (insights) create a mix of actual and imagined spaces. Current day downtown Charlotte appears as an assembled collage of a dozen highrises. Historic scenes of neighborhoods and local parks composite another vantage point. Fragments of deep space pull one back and forth between the various insets. A sense of the nourishment of local flora and fauna is present as well. All differing, these bands of imagery build the architecture of the piece and evolve visually out of a similar framework. All images reside in a series of adjacent and serial planes - geometric, man-made in shape. The organization is purposeful, as the structure of the activity in the building is shaped by government, hierarchial and organized. | ||||||||||||||||
